AI in influencer marketing report (Famester)

Every week, I see a new company building an “AI Influencer Marketing Platform” to let companies work with Creators without needing to employ pesky humans. They’re helping with: 

  • Creator and content discovery

  • Deal negotiation and legal document review

  • Campaign performance monitoring

  • Fraud prevention and bot identification

  • Pricing and past performance analysis

The metagame for Creators is changing yet again. Over the next few years, the way in which we interact with companies will become more impersonal. AI bots will make offers, negotiate rates, and even give content feedback. My prediction is that these platforms will largely be focused on performance marketing, so metrics will be a primary driver with qualitative factors like content quality, brand safety, and creative getting somewhat deprioritized.

AI algorithms dictate our reach, growth, and revshare; now they’re coming for our brand deals. Like with AdSense or the For You Page, Creators will need to learn how these AI algorithms work and  what they prioritize in order to optimize. 

If you want to get more deals, at better rates, from better brands, I recommend keeping an eye on this space. This report (from an AI influencer marketing platform - so take it with a grain of salt) is a good place to start, to understand what AI is helping influencer marketers do already and how things are trending.

LTK launches a gift guide x affiliate tool for Creators

I love gift guides. I’m not a good gift buyer, so when the holiday season rolls around, I frequently use Amazon, New York Times, and other “traditional” gift guides.

Heading into the holiday season, LTK just announced that Creators can curate and monetize their own gift guides within LTK’s app. I think that’s pretty cool, and potentially a force multiplier on what is already the most lucrative time of the year for brand deals and affiliate revenue.
