This world is way too big for us to sit back and watch others live their best lives - we MUST get out and explore this beautiful planet!

I’m stoked that today’s sponsor is TrovaTrip, because it’s a unique way to monetize that doesn’t require millions of followers to make real money.

They’ve already helped hundreds of creators book more than 1,500 trips to destinations like Morocco, Iceland, and Costa Rica, while making $5,000 - $30,000 per trip

  • That’s an average of 2+ trips per Creator - so you know it’s a good experience

  • They handle all the logistics, booking, vetting, and safety

  • $5k-$30k is serious money for doing something other people would pay to do

If you want to see the world and think your audience might want to see it with you, check out TrovaTrip. It’ll help out Creator Logic, and you never know - I may end up on one of your trips in the future!

Patreon and LTK increase Creator revenue through new automated features

AI and automation products that actually make you more money! Love it.

  • Patreon Autopilotwill send an email to free members who seem likely to upgrade with a discount for their first month.” Their testing showed a 19% increase in free-to-paid membership upgrades. That’s a big bump with very little effort for the Creator! Their press release doesn’t mention AI at all, but I have to assume that they use AI or machine learning to identify potential payers (or if not, that they will in the future).

  • LTK Co-Pilot includes a ton of new features, but the one that stands out to me most is Auto-Tag Products, which “leverages AI to automatically detect, identify and suggest products in a creator’s photo from the products saved in the creator’s folders.” Tagging is a time-consuming process; by reducing the effort on making these posts, LTK is enabling Creators to post more content with more products tagged, leading to more potential affiliate revenue.

These new features show a keen understanding of the challenges and needs Creators face as they operate day-to-day…no surprise given both platforms are founded and led by Creators (Jack Conte for Patreon and Amber Venz Box for LTK)!

I’m generally not a fan of AI that’s used to generate content. Creators are creative - our content is better than whatever AI will do for us…but if AI can be used to automate away mundane work or identify and activate opportunities to increase income…

MrBeast’s new employee handbook is…actually pretty valuable

I usually tell Creators that MrBeast should not be their North Star. The guy is an outlier, and his approach is neither realistic nor productive for 99.9999% of Creators. If you’re a grown up with bills to pay, YOLOing all your time and cash into crazy video ideas will put you in a tent on the street, not get you rich and famous. Don’t do it.

Helping you find smart ways to make a living as a Creator, regardless of audience size, is the entire reason Creator Logic exists.

That said, the “How to Succeed in MrBeast Production” handbook that’s been going viral this past week actually does have some great perspectives on how to “be an A player,” even as an independent Creator / solopreneur…as long as you keep in mind it was written by a brilliant, tunnel-visioned 20-something who is now getting both sued and canceled for bad workplace practices.

First, there’s a whole primer on what makes a YouTube video go viral that feels like a free crash course on the subject. If you are even thinking about YouTube, that alone makes it a worthwhile read.

Just a few of many other valuable takeaways include:

  • Know your single primary goal and view everything you’re doing through the lens of “Is this the best thing I can be doing to achieve my goal?”

  • Results matter more than effort. Don’t gauge success on effort input, gauge it on results (i.e. progress to goal) output.

  • Other people mess up, but it’s on you to get ahead of it. Taking responsibility for your business means following up, overcommunicating, and never assuming that everything is fine. Don’t leave room for error - ultimately, failure is on you.

Check it out - just be sure to take it all with a big heaping dose of salt.
