Happy Halloween!

Richard van der Blom, the king of the LinkedIn algorithm, has released a new report with some valuable insights. If you’re not on LinkedIn, you should be.

Instagram is up to shenanigans again. Classic. Hear from the CEO and my simple take as well.

But first…

Tell me about your Creator business challenges

Creator Logic has grown 5x over this past year - we started with around 8,000 subscribers and today we’re at nearly 40,000!

My mission is to help a million people find freedom by making a living through content creation.

To do that, I need to know what problems you have so I can write articles, shoot videos, build community, and develop other offerings that help you solve those problems.

If there’s something on your mind, I’d be grateful for 15 minutes of your time the old-fashioned way - via phone call.

Your perspectives will directly shape the future of Creator Logic, so please book a call via the button below!

LinkedIn Algorithm Insights Report - Oct 2024

Richard van der Blom

I believe LinkedIn is one of the most important Creator platforms, and every single one of you should be on it - not necessarily to build an audience (although that is valuable), but for networking purposes.

There are only a handful of monetization tactics that can be executed without any sort of partnerships or business relationships, and they either require huge scale or have ceilings on earning potential.

If you are trying to build a business and want to make real money, you will need to meet the right people and build the right relationships to get the right partnerships done. LinkedIn is the best place to do that, hands down.

Richard van der Blom is the authoritative voice on the LinkedIn algorithm, and puts out a few excellent reports every year. If you’re on the platform or thinking about getting started, you should take a look at his October update.

(By the way, if you’re on LinkedIn, give me a follow - I write about how companies and Creators can work together more effectively!)

Instagram reduces video quality on low-view videos

Reuters

Classic Instagram, up to more shenanigans. Now IG CEO Adam Mosseri has publicly admitted that they throttle the video quality of lower-performing videos.

Kinda sucks for Creators with smaller audiences, huh?

Here’s what I would take away from this: the content you make shouldn’t be predicated on how good it looks because Instagram is now unforgiving in this sense. Make sure whatever you put out is entertaining or impactful without needing to be crisp and beautiful…Or be mentally prepared for the resolution downgrade if you don’t get a ton of views early on.
