In today’s Resources:

  • I’m dropping a link to sign up for my free virtual session on how to find success without an outsized audience

  • Foot Locker is launching a Storefronts product so Creators can monetize by selling Foot Locker sneakers and apparel

  • EMARKETER reveals how many billions will be spent on affiliate marketing, while I compare affiliates to brand deals. (The results will surprise you!)

Let’s get into it!

I’m hosting a FREE virtual session on monetization!

Maggie Stara has 13.7k YouTube subscribers and 7.9k Instagram followers - and yet, she’s taught over 100,000 students (5x her total follower count) via her Skillshare courses on topics like social media marketing, content creation methods, and digital marketing funnel strategies.

That’s a lot of impact (and revenue) relative to her audience size!

I’ll be sitting down (virtually) with Maggie to chat about a variety of topics including:

  • The benefits of having a smaller audience

  • How to think about creating vs monetizing

  • Tactics to make more from a smaller audience

…and much more. If you’re interested in learning how Maggie has achieved so much, so you can apply it to your own Creator business, join us on October 29th at 2:30pm Pacific / 5:30pm Eastern.

Monetize your sneaker obsession

Foot Locker

Foot Locker is launching a product to let Creators build custom digital storefronts where they can curate and sell their favorite Foot Locker products.

Commissions are up to 8%. I did some research, and it looks like the average Foot Locker order value is $100-$125. That means you’ll make $8-$10 per transaction, on average.

It’s not a huge amount, but if you’re already making sneaker and/or athletic content and you suspect your audience likes Foot Locker, it may be worth setting up to collect some relatively passive income from your bio link.

Affiliate marketing is $10B+ in the US this year

EMARKETER is one of the most respected sources of forecasting and analysis data in the digital marketing world.

They are projecting 2024 spend on affiliate marketing in the US to be $10.72 billion.

For comparison, US influencer marketing spend is projected to be $7.14 billion.

That’s right, there’s nearly 50% more money in affiliates than in brand deals.

Check out the report to inform yourself, and then let’s get after those affiliate dollars!
