A trick to grow video reach

There’s now a 50/50 chance TikTok shuts down.
I don’t think it will - and if it does, I think it will re-launch in a few months after the new administration negotiates a deal - but I’ve been wrong before.
Everyone is giving you obvious advice:
Diversify to other platforms
Own your audience by collecting emails
But there are two problems with this:
Getting people to watch your videos on other platforms is hard
Collecting emails from your TikTok audience is only worthwhile if you do something with them
Here’s a simple solution, used by a successful past Creator Logic guest, that ties the two together to supercharge your transition:
Launch a newsletter that goes out every time you publish a new video anywhere.
Literally just a “Hey, new video out now!” notification email. Write two sentences about the video if you want, but you don’t have to.
LaShonda Brown found that using email to notify her audience of new YouTube videos boosted her algorithm performance significantly:
My email list is what helps my videos get picked up in the algorithm because they give it that first wave of views within the first 24 hours. Then the algorithm picks it up, and then I'm recommended in search. But if I just post it without sending an email, typically those videos don't get picked up in the search.
Plus, if you use beehiiv (which is the platform I use), you can monetize those emails through beehiiv’s ad network. It’s not a ton of money unless you have a huge subscriber list, but even with a few thousand emails it might be enough to cover the 5 minutes you spend drafting and sending the link + 2 sentences.
If you decide to try this, I’d love if you could use my beehiiv affiliate link to support me:
Join the $100k Creators Club
I made $254,334 in income from my content-driven business(es) this year. The secret to my high earnings was my personal network of Creators, who shared opportunities, tools, and experiences with me, including:
Introducing me to a $137,000 client (!!!)
Getting me a panel at a major conference
Offering a perspective that grew this newsletter 300%
Their support made my journey less lonely, more achievable - and was lucrative too!
You deserve the same.
That’s why I’m launching The $100K Creator Club.
You don’t have to be alone on your journey from making content to making money.

Facebook is letting regular people start monetizing
Phil Ranta, the COO of talent management agency Fixated and former head of Gaming Creators for Facebook, noticed that Facebook offered to let him sign up for content monetization - even though he only has about 2700 followers and really just posts for family and friends.
He tried it and ended up making $1.21 from ~500 views on a written + image post about his son.
That’s wild! Obviously it’s not a lot of money, but it’s also not no money.
Facebook isn’t very transparent about who is eligible for this new initiative, but from what I’ve pieced together, you need to:
Turn on ProMode for Profile
…pray?
A Facebook spokesperson told Tubefilter they’re not making eligibility requirements public (for now). So that’s not helpful.
Still, you can check your eligibility on their website and start monetizing if you’re lucky - link below.
